Flying Squirrel Foods, LLC is owned and operated by Felicia Nelson and her Earth-loving family. Together, they are determind to leave this beautiful blue ball a better place for future generations. That starts with small steps towards sustainability! FSF aims to provide locally produced, eco-friendly granola and microgreens to the people of Wisconsin. All granola and greens are produced in the Nelson family's solar powered home. Products are packaged using glass, paper, and compostable pouches. Customers can feel great knowing that every FSF is made with love and a planet-centric mindset.
Flying Squirrel Granolas
Signature Granola Blends
All of FSF signature flavors are made using heart-healthy canola oil or sustainable, organic coconut oil. Products are always free of palm oil, artificial colors, flavors, and preservatives.
The Original: Our most popular blend of maple oat clusters, pecans, almonds, dried cranberries, raisins, and apricots.
Honey Almond Crumble: No fruit, just a simple blend of honey oat clusters and almonds.
Coconut Caramel Cashew: A delicate blend of oats, dried coconut and cashews bound by a vegan caramel base.
Lemon Blueberry Muffin: Crunchy, agave sweetened clusters with organic dried blueberries, almonds, and a little lemon zest for a light citrus punch.
Chocolate Covered Cherry: Maple oat clusters with a hint of almond flavor, organic dried cherries, almonds, and dark chocolate chunks.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Bonanza: Peanut buttery maple clusters with salted, chopped peanuts, and milk chocolate morsels.
Super Squirrel Mix: Maple oat clusters flavored with warm spices, tahini, almonds, pecans, chia seeds, golden raisins, and flaxmeal to super charge your day.
Gift Baskets
Flying Squirrel Foods Gift baskets are the perfect way to express congratulations, welcome a new baby, mark a special occasion, or wish someone a speedy recovery.
All baskets are cleaned, reclaimed baskets with eco-friendly paper fill for maximum sustainability. This also ensures each gift is as unique and special as the recipient.
Each basket can be made to order with any of our signature flavors or your own custom blend. Please allow additional time for personalized recipes.
Sustainable gift wrap options are also available at all of our in-person events. Just ask and someone on the Flying Squirrel team would be happy to dress up your order to make an extra special granola gift for the loved ones in your life.
Corporate Gifts and Party Favors
Flying Squirrel Foods is the perfect choice for small wedding and baby shower favors as well as holiday gifts. Giving granola is an opportunity to gift something different than the usual candy, flowers, and tiny trinkets.
Large orders, such as wedding favors, should be made at least 3 weeks in advance to allow for delivery of special packaging and custom recipe requests. A 50% down payment is required for order greater than $100.
Custom Granola Blends
One of the benefits of being a small operation is the ability to grow a relationship with customers and give them exactly what they want. Need a batch of gluten-free granola? A special vegan gift blend? Don't like raisins? Flying Squirrel Foods can make special changes upon request! Cost of custom batches are calculated based on ingredients selected. A cost per jar price will be quoted prior to manufacturing. There is no guarantee that every request can be honored, but the Flying Squirrel team will do their level best to make your granola dreams a reality.

Dried Fruits: Cranberries, blueberries, cherries, strawberries, apricots, pineapple, coconut, raisins, and golden raisins.
Nuts and Seeds: Almonds, pecans, walnuts, cashews, pepitas, sunflower seeds, chia seeds, and flaxseed meal.
Other: Chocolate chips (dark, milk, semi-sweet, white), crystalized ginger, and unsweetened coconut.
Microgreens
While granola and greens don’t necessarily seem like a traditional pairing, the Nelson family is overjoyed to offer these eco-friendly, nutrient-packed snacks. These mighty little greens offer up to 40 times the nutrient density found in their mature counterparts!
According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), only 10% of Americans eat the recommended number of fruits and vegetables for optimal health. Microgreens are a great way to increase vegetable intake while adding flavor and visual appeal to every plate. Greens
Microgreens are sold by the ounce. Greens are harvested and weighed at time of purchase. Both single varieties and green blends are $3.00/ounce.
Green Powder
Anytime we have greens left from market or delivery routes, we dry them for powder. This not only provides us a no-waste solution to leftover greens, but allows folks to enjoy the benefits of greens in a shelf-stable form. These are great to take on vacation, add to smoothies, mix into salad dressing, or even sneak into your kiddo's Mac & Cheese! Powdered greens are sold in half ounce quantities for $15. We offer plain broccoli or a wild mix of all of our lucious greens! Each half ounce container is equivalent to about 20 ounces of microgreens!

The Flying Squirrel Foods delivery route happens every Wednesday and there's still room on the schedule for you! We currently deliver to families and restaurants spanning Waukesha to East Troy. Just place your order and it will come directly to your doorstep!

Each week, you will receive one text message on Monday with a listing of products available and the order window. Typically, you are welcome to place your order anytime between Monday and Wednesday at 10:00am. However bread slots are limited and are filled first come first serve.
